This October Toyota Birmingham have gone all out to support automotive charity Ben.
Ben is a not-for-profit organisation that partners with the automotive industry to provide support for life to its people and their families making a positive difference in the health and wellbeing of people in the automotive industry.
Research by the Mental Health Foundation suggests that two thirds of British adults have experienced mental ill-health at some point in their lives. With the automotive industry having a workforce of over 800,000 people that could that equate to over 500,000 people. Access to confidential, free support services for people and their family exists for anyone who works, or has worked, in the automotive industry. Ben also have an award-winning retirement village for those in later life aswell as excellent care centres for those who aren't as independent.
Every year Ben encourage people to wear a hat to work on 13th October and donate £1 to support colleagues facing mental health challenges. Vantage have encouraged everyone across their group to get involved to raise some money and raise awareness of this far-reaching, and extremely relevant cause. Here at Toyota Birmingham we love a chance to show our charitable side and all arrived decked out for the day in our finest headgear. From flat caps to snapback caps we had it all, including a fantastic beret from Service Advisor Sally.
We are happy to be able to support this fantastic charity by taking part in this event along with our colleagues across the Vantage family and the automotive community across the UK. We hope you enjoy our efforts!
